In loving memory of Velda Belle Juffer of Sioux Center, Iowa, who departed this world on October 26, 2024 at the age of 96. Velda Belle leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Frank Bowden; her husband Gerald A. Juffer; her son Dennis; her granddaughter Velerie; and her siblings, Thayne, Dean, Homer, Ardel Smit, Betty Lovrien and Wanda Kuchel.
She is survived by: her mother Clara Bowden (Watkins); her children, Larry (John) of Kailua-Kona, Ronald (Debra) of Spirit Lake, Lanae of Wichita Falls and Pat Flake (Steven) of Iowa City, Iowa; and her daughter-in-law Anna of Keokuk, Iowa. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great- grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Ireton Christian Reformed Church (301 Maple St, Ireton, IA 51027). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
The family prefers, in lieu of flowers, memorials be given in Velda's name to the Ireton Community Foundation or the Ireton Christian Reformed Church Memorial Fund.
