He was predeceased by: his parents, T. J. Estes and Patricia Estes; his siblings, Stephen, Ann Short and Bill Estes; and his father-in-law Darrell Dickinson.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Dickinson; his children, Jennifer and Joe Funk; his grandchild Samson Funk; his daughters, Kathryn Estes and Jillian Estes (Luke VanGerpen); his siblings, Mike, Deb Estes, Pat and Dan Menke; his sister-in-law Pat Estes; and his mother-in-law Shirley Dickinson.
