He was predeceased by: his parents, Tony Boom and Fannie De Boom (Altena); his sister Juleen Hofland; his parents-in-law, Harold and Arta Vander Schoor; and his sister-in-law Adelyn of Boom.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon De Boom of Sioux Center; his son Brent De Boom (Marsha) of Sioux Center; his grandchildren, Paige and Addyson; his son Brian De Boom (Racquel) of Primghar; his grandson Alex Spoo; his son Jason De Boom (Jessica) of Sioux Center; his grandchildren, Reece and Ella; and his siblings-in-law, Hank Hofland of Sanborn, IA, Bob, Linda Bouwman of Akron, IA and Deb Van Bruggen of Hawarden. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The De Boom family prefer memorials be directed to Mission India or the Bethel Christian Reformed Church Education Fund.
