It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin Jake Timmer of Sioux Center, Iowa, born in Rock Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on February 8, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Timmer and Ester Timmer (Christians); his wife Shirley Timmer; his siblings, Lorenza Kruse and Art Timmer; and his brother-in-law James Kruse.
He is survived by: his children, Marlene Timmer (Jason Johnson) of Sheldon, IA, Myron Timmer of Le Mars, IA, Marsha De Boom (Brent) of Sioux Center, IA, Milton Timmer (Kari) of Sioux Center, IA and Michael Timmer of Sheldon, IA; his grandchildren, Ashley Lisowski (Jake), Amanda Eben, Jake Pedersen (Abby), Jesse Johnson, Tabby Castanza (Jonathan), Logan Johnson (Regan), Paige, Addyson De Boom, Deegan, Mckinley Timmer, Mia and Mason Timmer; and his sister Janelle Van Drunen (Keith) of George, IA. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers Timmer family prefers memorials be directed to Hope Haven in Rock Valley, IA.
