It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marv Rietema of Sioux Center, Iowa, born in Kanawha, Iowa, who passed away on February 6, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Rietema and Minnie Rietema (Christians); and also, Ted and Nellie Hengeveld. He is survived by: his wife Helene Rietema (Hengeveld) of Sioux Center; his children, Jeff Rietema, Kurt, Emily Rietema of Kansas City, KS, Justin and Amy Rietema of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; his grandchildren, Luke, Perkins, Leo, Charlotte and Finn; his siblings, Wayne, Bev Rietema, Jan and Larry Cooper; and also, Rachel Hengeveld, Ron and Garneth Lighthiser. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations can be made in Marv's name to Youthfront, a ministry in Kansas City, KS, where his son, Kurt, serves.
