He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Stouwe and Marie Vander Stouwe; his parents-in-law, John and Tillie Van Voorst; his brother John Vander Stouwe; and his brother-in-law Howard Van Voorst.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Vander Stouwe of Sioux Center, IA; his children, Eric Vander Stouwe (Tali) of Sioux Center, IA, Melissa Sewell (Matt) of Milford, IA and Monica Sedelmeier (Elvis) of Waco, TX; his grandchildren, Ella, Jacob, Boden Vander Stouwe, Elijah, Leo Sewell, Witten, Jemma and Maddox Sedelmeier; his siblings, Jay Vander Stouwe (Kay), Ken Vander Stouwe (Lydia) and Jeanne Wimmer; and his siblings-in-law, Bernice Vander Stouwe, Lois De Jong (Lloyd), Linetta Pollock (Mike) and Ken Van Voorst (Sandy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Even in the face of Alzheimer's disease, he demonstrated an unwavering spirit, teaching all who knew him the true meaning of perseverance and unconditional love.
