She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Vegte and Alyda Vande Vegte (Harskamp); her husband Clarence De Roon; her son Marlin Vermeer; her son-in-law Henry Wynia; her grandsons, Kevin Vermeer and Braden Landreth; and her siblings, Arnold Vande Vegte and Viola Mulder.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Gould (Dan) of Boone, Ann Wynia of Sioux Center, Marcy Marvin (Waylon) of Creston, Iowa and Marty Vermeer (Jennifer) of Maxwell, Iowa; her grandchildren, Rachel Glenn (Cory), Ryan Wynia (Amy), Laura Desruisseaux (Max), Kyle Wynia (Ashley), Stephen Vermeer, Kay Moore (Dan), Mallory Heckert (Evan), Derek Vermeer (Abby), Jared Landreth (Madisson), Brianna Beltman (Jonathan), Matt Marvin and Melanie Welch (Dane); and her siblings, Russ Vande Vegte (Helen) of Carmel, IA, Sharon Watson (Doc) of Omaha, NE and Doug Vande Vegte (Wanda) of Lake Andes, SD. She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the Vermeer family ask that memorials be directed to the Sioux Center Sack Pack Program.
