He was predeceased by: his parents, Oney Arkema and Katie Arkema (Bruxvoort); his siblings, John Arkema (Iva), Dorm Arkema (Beulah), Marjorie Van Gorp (Freeman), Bernard Arkema (Cornelia), Betty Dykema (Earl), Hermina Rolffs (Henry), Nelson Arkema (Dorothy), Junior Rozedaal and Grace Van Kooten (Harris); his parents-in-law, Cecil and Minnie Van Rees; and his brother-in-law Gary Van Rees.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Van Rees; his daughters, Cherie Van Beek (Norlyn) of New Holland, SD, Verna Westra (Ed) of Hull, IA, Brenda Holtrop (Bob) of Omaha, NE, Deb Bolkema of Hull, IA and Pam Korthuis (Keith) of Lynden, WA; his siblings, June Rozendaal, Alan Arkema and Ed Arkema (Leona); and his sisters-in-law, Delores Van Rees and Cynthia Hayworth (Terry). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren.
