With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lester Te Grotenhuis of Sioux Center, Iowa, who passed away on February 9, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Grotenhuis and Hattie Te Grotenhuis (Bouma); his siblings, Gaynor Te Grotenhuis (Elsie) and Myrtle Van't Hul (Jerry); his brother-in-law Marv Prins; and his great grandchild Jude Kroeze.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Te Grotenhuis of Sioux Center, IA; his children, Laurie Vanden Bosch (Leon) of Rock Valley, IA, Leon Te Grotenhuis (Diane) of Castle Rock, CO, Sheryl Winterfeld of Sioux Center, IA, Marlyn Te Grotenhuis (Maureen) of Sioux Center, IA and Mark Te Grotenhuis (Sarah) of Sioux Center, IA; his grandchildren, Jennifer Lincecum (Chris), Tessa Belker (Mike), Bret Vanden Bosch (Paige), Corey Winterfeld, Alissa Kroeze (Wade), Kelsi Ebel (Drew), Marcus Winterfeld (Jordyn), Emily Te Grotenhuis, Katie Hansen (Jerod), Erika Te Grotenhuis, Andrew Te Grotenhuis, Casey Te Grotenhuis and Jolee Te Grotenhuis; his brother Marv Te Grotenhuis (Wanda) of Texas; and his sister-in-law Rose Prins of Sioux Center, IA. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
The Te Grotenhuis family prefer memorials be directed to the Carmel Reformed Church.
