He was predeceased by: his mother Diane Van Roekel (Huisman). He is survived by: his sons, Michael and Preston Van Roekel of Northbrook, IL; his father Lyle Van Roekel of Sioux Center; and his brothers, Chad (Kathleen Van Roekel) and Mark (Rebecca Van Roekel). He is also survived by uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
