He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sr. Kooi and Greta Kooi (Vos); his wife Margaret Jansen; his former wife Joan Ognibene; his children, Lane and Suzanne Sheraden; his sister Grada Van Ballegooyen (John); his son-in-law Douglas Oolman; and his great grandchild Gabby Keizer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Marjorie Oolman of Orange City, IA, Lois Keizer (Larry) of Watertown, SD and Barb Wielenga (Lyle) of Avon, SD; his son-in-law Richard Sheraden of Sebring, FL; his stepson Gary Ognibene of Magnolia, TX; his siblings, George Kooi (Lari) of Sioux Falls, SD, Alida Scholten (Marvin) of Maurice, IA, Jean Fluit (Teunis) of Larchwood, IA and Linda Altena (Kenny) of Sioux Center, IA; and his brother-in-law Ben Jansen (Lou) of Brainerd, MN. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren.
Memorial donations are preferred to Hope Haven.
