He was predeceased by: his parents, Claus Huisman and Bena Huisman (Buss); his parents-in-law, Arthur and Marie Essman; and his brother-in-law Lawrence DeBeer.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann; his children, Lisa Vincent (Gene) of Princeton and Kevin Huisman (Lori) of Sioux Center, Iowa; his grandchildren, Derek Vincent (Kim) of Des Plaines, Kiersten Vincent of Princeton, Kristin Stimpson (Andrew) of Cumming, Marc Wermersen (Lauren) of Kansas City and Kaitlyn Stoker (Tony) of Sioux Center, Iowa; his great grandchildren, Sofia, Amelia Vincent, Eli, Charlie, Calvin Stimpson, Ford, Campbell Wermersen, Oliver, Emmett and Kendyl Stoker; and his sister Audrey DeBeer.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home (12 16th St SE, Sioux Center, IA 51250). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Central Reformed Church (113 N Main Ave, Sioux Center, IA 51250).
