She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Maten and Hattie Vander Maten (Van Oort); her son Randy Beernink; her siblings, Allie Korver (Myron), Jenieva Kastein (Peter), John Vander Maten, Hans Vander Maten (Millie), Gert Huisman (Bill), Bill Vander Maten (Ann) and Harriet Harmelink (Wilbur); and her stepgrandson Greg Nieman.
She is survived by: her husband Eugene Beernink of Sioux Center, IA; her son Greg Beernink (Connie) of Orange City, IA; her daughter-in-law Kathy Beernink of Estherville, IA; her siblings, Cia Vander Ploeg of Sheldon, IA, Kaye Kuyper (Herb) of Sioux Center, IA and Herman Vander Maten (Marilyn) of Surprise, AZ; and her brothers-in-law, Darrell Beernink (Alyce) of Normal, IL and Howard Beernink (Marge) of Sioux Center, IA. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren.
