It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerrit Horstman of Sioux Center, Iowa, who passed away on August 1, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gerrit Horstman to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Horstman and Reka Horstman (Hulstein); his wife Ruth Westra; his brother William Horstman; his son Calvin Horstman; and his grandsons, Brock Midthun and Michael Horstman.
He is survived by: his children, Peter Horstman (Caron) of Doon, IA, Russell Horstman of Tea, SD, Jolene Vander Ziel (Ken) of Rock Valley, IA, Linda Van Eck (Dave) of Lincoln, NE and Lorna Midthun (Bruce) of Sioux Center, IA; and his sister Evelyn Koele of Sheldon, IA. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren.
