Gerald Droog Obituary

We are sad to announce that on December 23, 2022, at the age of 73, Gerald Droog of Sioux Center, Iowa, born in Strasburg, North Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Droog and Grace Droog (Nicolay); his sister Sharon; and his granddaughter Josie Franken. He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his daughter Melanie (Dennis Van Maanen); his grandchildren, Morgan and Ross Te Slaa; his daughters, Sawyer, Jordyn (Marcus Winterfeld), Robyn and JJ Franken; his grandchildren, Austin and Shalee Hofman; his great grandchild Kezden; his grandchildren, Madison Hofman, Gracyn, Boden, Kinley, Alissa and Mike Roetman; his great grandchildren, Leyton, Reagan, Ryer and Emmett; his grandchildren, Amanda and Mike Franken; his daughters, Laney, Maryn and Birkley; his sisters, Connie (Doug De Nooy), Shirley (Gord Dekkenga), Sandi (Kim Shoesmith) and Colleen (Allen Horstman); and also, Michael Storey, Betty (Bob Schnaible), Allen (Judy Nieuwsma), Carol Haan, Evelyn De Boer and John (Cindy Nieuwsma).

After suffering from long-term effects of Covid 19, his damaged lungs are now healed.

The Droog family prefer memorials be directed to Western Christian High School.
