She was predeceased by: her parents, Arie and Wilhelmina; her husband Henry; and her siblings, Art Kelderman, Joyce Decker and Myrt "Minnie" Keizer.
She is survived by: her children, Marcia Rozeboom (Tony) of Bruno, Ethel Fick (Earl) of Hull, Harold Van Essen (Lavonne) of Sioux Center and Arvin Van Essen (Carol) of Rock Valley; her sister Jeanette Gorter of Doon; and her siblings-in-law, Gertrude Kelderman of Rock Valley and James Decker of Sioux Falls. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
