We bid farewell to Arnola Roos of Sioux Center, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 25, 2025 at the age of 59. Arnola touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Schaap and Alberta Schaap (Kampman); her nephew Carl Vis; her father-in-law Herbert Roos; and her sister-in-law Isabel Roos.
She is survived by: her husband Derick; her grandchildren, Danielle (Christian Barnett) of Austin, TX, Kyle (Sarah), DJ Roos of Wichita, KS, Kody Logan (Paige), Wyatt, Braxton, Cooper Roos of Pella, IA, Micah Emery (Samantha), Sutton and Wells Roos of Overland Park, KS.; her siblings, Arlan Schaap (Marcia) of Dike, IA, Aldon Schaap (Joelene) of Merced, CA, Ardith Vis (Henry) of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Aleeda Vis (John) of Smithers, Ardene Huisman (Darren) of Orange City, IA and Aljean Plooy (Stanley) of Hanford, CA.; her mother-in-law Johanna Roos of Sioux Center, IA; and her siblings-in-law, Dorenda VanGaalen (Nolan) of Sioux Center, IA, Jaron Roos (Frances) of Springfield, MO and Todd Roos of Zillah, WA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the First Christian Reformed Church (321 2nd St SE, Sioux Center, IA 51250). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers or gifts the Roos family prefers memorials be directed to the ALS Foundation or the Family Crisis Center in Sioux Center.
