He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bos and Henrietta Bos (Balfoort); his wife Helen; his daughter Ruth; and his siblings, Ralph Bos and Alice Klanderman.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn (Tim Goslinga), Jim (Glenda Bos), Mary (Roland Ritzema) and Matt (Teri Bos); and his siblings-in-law, Bruce Klanderman and Eunice Buning (De Vries). He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
The Bos Family prefers memorials be directed to Dordt University.
