He is survived by: his wife Sheena Robertson of Sigourney; his children, Jessica Gordon (Kamron) of Oskaloosa, Billy Pennington (Kimberly) of Oskaloosa, Eric Vanderpool (Ashley) of Ottumwa and Brandon Robertson of Des Moines; and his siblings, Ada Darrow (Rand) of Susanville, CA, Carroll Allender (Carl) of DesMoines and William Vanderpool of Des Moines.
