Mary Lou Ballensky Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 11, 2022, at the age of 92, Mary Lou Ballensky of Sigourney, Iowa, born in Hedrick, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lon Bottorff and Edith Bottorff (Sturdevent); her husband John I. Ballensky; and her half-sister Karen. She is survived by: her children, Natalie Dunn (Terry) of Lake Geneva, Katherine Ballensky of Sigourney, John Andrew Ballensky (Kathleen) of Old Town, Jill Sande (Curtis) of Powell, Wyoming, Eric Dunn, Erin Hogan, Colin Dunn, Jacob Allee, Ezra Allee, Kristine Swanepoel, Emily Utterback and Samantha Sande; and her sister Elizabeth Summy of Naples, Florida.. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established for the Sigourney High School Music Department.
