She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin McDonald and Helen Andies McDonald; her husband Don; and her brothers, Frank and Lawrence McDonald.

She is survived by: her children, Jeff Yates (Trina) of Amana, Jill McElligott (David) of Iowa City and Joel Yates (Linda) of Sigourney; her grandchildren, Erin McElligott, Bailey McElligott, Addison Yates, Ellie Yates and Solon Yates; her sister Rita Driscoll; and her sister-in-law Pauline McDonald.
