She was predeceased by: her parents, Harris Barnhart and Gertrude Stokesberry Barnhart; her husband Dean Appleget; her son Steven; her stepmother Freda Stroud Barnhart; her siblings, Ruth Barnhart, Dean (Audrey Barnhart) and Dale (Helen Barnhart); and her brother-in-law Leroy Kracht.
She is survived by: her daughter Donna Strand (Bob) of Geneva, IL.; her grandson Eric Strand (Janis) of Chicago, IL.; her great great grandchildren, Dean and Jane Strand; and her siblings, Luetta Kracht of Sigourney and Don Barnhart (Delores) of Sigourney.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sigourney Christian Church (308 S Jefferson St, Sigourney, IA 52591). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established to the Sigourney Christian Church or Sigourney Fire and Rescue.
