He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Sr. Herman and Marjorie Inman Herman; his wife Patricia Dietz; and his daughter Anne Marie Lucas. He is survived by: his former wife Peggy Lou Bowers; his children, Carol Hersh (Marty), Louis III Herman (Karla), Marge Farmer (Steve), David Herman (Michelle) and Jim Herman (Lisa); and his siblings, Bettie Tujetsch (Bob) of Waterloo and Charles Herman (Linda) of Sigourney. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren.
