She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Nicola and Alice Nicola (Isminger); her husband Ralph Bruns; her son Mike Bruns; her granddaughter Samantha Steinhart; and her brother Jerry Nicola.
She is survived by: her children, Rob Bruns (Joyce) of Fremont, Heidi Bruns of Sigourney and Mark Bruns (Molly) of Oskaloosa; and her sister Kathy Grant (Jim) of Sigourney. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
