It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris E. Hanchett of Sigourney, Iowa, born in Keswick, Iowa, who passed away on September 29, 2021, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Leroy "Roy" and Mabel Caskey (Sears); her husband Charles "Bob" Hanchett; her grandchildren, John Logan Hanchett and Angela Hanchett; and her siblings, Orley, Russell, Norman Caskey and Velma Cranston.

She is survived by: her children, Gary Hanchett (Connie) of Deep River, Linda Schaefer (Gary) of Sigourney, Ron Hanchett (Teresa) of Ames and John Hanchett (Jill) of Sigourney; and her sister-in-law Ruth Hanchett. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren.
