He was predeceased by: his parents, Ole Olson and Anna Olson (Meier); his wife Doralene Walker; his son Brad Olson; and his siblings, Harold, John, Donald and Luella Carpenter.
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Repp (Ronnie) of Sigourney, Thomas King (Kala) of Confidence, James Olson of Ankeny and Jack Olson (Patricia) of Bondurant; and his sister-in-law Jackie Culp of What Cheer. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren.
