With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara J. Hart of Sigourney, Iowa, who passed away on March 23, 2025 at the age of 98. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Barbara J. Hart to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Patrick Carmody and Margaret Carmody (Peddicord); her husband Arthur Eugene Hart; her sisters, Verda Holveck, Velma Sedlak, Isabelle Jones and Mary Lou Johnson; and her sons-in-law, Morris James and Leif Stokes.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Hart (Sheila) of Centennial, Rebecca Lambert (Lee) of Abilene, Barbara James of Benton, Jennifer Stokes of Ottumwa, Micaela Klein (Dave) of Sigourney and Patrick Hart (Stephanie) of Ottumwa; and her sister Ardella Untrauer of Sigourney. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pennington Cemetery (6451 IA-149, South English, IA 52335).
A general memorial fund has been established.
