He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Akers of Sidney, IA; his children, Kendall Ward-Gloeb (Scott) of Omaha, NE, Elizabeth Squires of Glenwood, IA and Shaun Akers of Blue Eye, MO; his parents, Debbie Boyd (Chris) of Blue Eye, MO and Doug Hanshaw of Hastings, IA; his grandmother Deloris Akers of Stanton, IA; his aunt Angie Akers of Stanton, IA; and his uncles, Rick Akers of Red Oak, IA and Gary Akers (Angi) of Grant, IA. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
