He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight Leland and Kathleen Ruth Hills (Johnson); his aunts, Virginia Fisher and Leta Nissen; his uncle Wayne Hills; his nephews, Thomas "Allen" Fisher and Russell Carter Steele; his brother-in-law Wayne Carter; and his nephew-in-law Brian Patterson.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Kay Carter of Sidney, Iowa; his children, Jessica Jean Hills of St. Joseph, Missouri and Jacob Ekyah Hills of Granby, Colorado; his siblings, Sue Shunk of Arab, Jean Hills of Scottsdale, Arizona and Garth Hills (Reneth) of Oak Harbor, Washington; and his in-laws, Marjorie Steele (Greg) of Afton and Maria Carter of Albany, Missouri. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
A reception will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 708 Illinois St, Sidney, IA 51652.
