With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald VanScyoc of Sidney, Iowa, born in Pueblo, Colorado, who passed away on June 5, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Dale Van Scyoc, Sr. and Alice Marie Van Scyoc (Trummer). He is survived by: his daughter Lori Goodman (Keven) of Council Bluffs, IA; his stepson Scotty Hankins, Sr. (Shereen) of Afton, OK; his grandchildren, McKenna Gochenour (Ryan) of Council Bluffs and Kyla Goodman of Council Bluffs; his stepgrandchildren, Cynthia Hankins (Alex) of Afton, Scotty Hankins, Jr. (Jessica) of Elkwood, VA, Madison Hankins of Afton, Wyatt Hankins of Afton, Mason Hankins of Afton, Haley Hankins of Afton and Maleigha Hankins of Afton; his siblings, Judith Van Scyoc of Council Bluffs and Robert Van Scyoc (Kim) of Parkview, IA; his niece Tracey Harmon (Chris) of Cape Coral, FL; his nephews, Lance Van Scyoc (Jeremy) of Camanche, IA and Jack Van Scyoc of Parkview, IA; his great-niece Laken Williams of Oak Creek, WI; and his great-nephews, Jordan Williams of Washington State, Cole Soenksen, Mason Soenksen of Camanche, IA and Levi Harmon of Cape Coral, FL. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Interment will be in the Tabor, IA Cemetery and a memorial fund has been established.
