She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Johannes and Mary Seivert Johannes; her husband Edwin Thiele; her children, Marlys Thiele, Mary Clare Nilles and Roger Thiele; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Thiele; her grandchildren, Brenda Nilles, Tom, Dan and Doug Pomrenke; and her siblings, Viola Trei, Laura Jungers, Helen Swanson, Rosemary Seivert, Alice Heffele, Martin, Johnny and Laurence Johannes.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen, Gary, Daryl and Yvonne; her sister-in-law Joan Johannes of Sibley, IA; and her son-in-law Bill Nilles (Mary Jean Nilles). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren.
