He was predeceased by: his parents, William Keninger and Caroline Keninger (Hatting); his brother John Keninger; his sister-in-law Dortena Keninger; his nephew Bobby Keninger; and his parents-in-law, Ernest and Lucy Jacobsma.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Jacobsma; his children, Verlin Keninger (Kimberly) of Sibley, IA, Licia Keninger of Sibley, IA and Lora Keninger of Orange City, IA; his grandchildren, Michael Keninger (Samantha) of Sibley, IA and Kelsy Keninger of Sioux Falls, SD; and his brother Donald Keninger of Ashton, IA. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Sanford Sheldon Hospice or Abben Cancer Center in Spencer.
