He was predeceased by: his father David Roetzel; his grandparents, Gerald "Jerry" Roetzel and Lucy Ann Frank; and his aunt Nancy Roetzel. He is survived by: his mother Laura Roetzel (Frank) of Emmetsburg, Iowa; his grandparents, Marion Roetzel of Sheldon, Iowa and Doug Frank of Sibley, Iowa; his uncle Dan Roetzel; and his aunt Lynne Newbury of Emmetsburg, Iowa. He is also survived by cousins and other extended family.
He was involved with the South Dakota Foundation and did a presentation on "Restoring Our Environment".
