He was predeceased by: his son Marlin Grotenhuis; his parents, Reuben Grotenhuis and Marie Grotenhuis; his brother Lloyd Grotenhuis; his parents-in-law, Clarence and Anne Van Kalsbeek; and his sister-in-law JoAnn Huygens.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Grotenhuis of Sibley, IA; and his children, Cathy Woiwood of Scottsdale, AZ, Bruce Grotenhuis (Diane) of Urbandale, IA, Cindy Van Otterloo (Mer) of Rock Valley, IA, Caryn Rousseau (Paul) of Chaparral, NM, Kayleen Diederich (Andy) of Cedar Rapids, IA and Marne Dekkers (Mark) of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
