Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Karen Jansen of Sibley, Iowa, born in Sanborn, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 75, on June 9, 2023. She was predeceased by: her husband Stanley Jansen; her parents, Herman Roede and Margaret Roede; her siblings, Debra Roede, Richard "Dick" Roede and Randy; her siblings-in-law, Terrie Roede and Kenneth Duis; her parents-in-law, Eldon and Arloween Jansen; and her siblings-in-law, Sandy, Gary Widdel, Steven Jansen, Sharyl Curtis and Stuart Jansen.
She is survived by: her children, Margaret Roede (Walker), Julie Steichen (Mike) of Sibley, IA and James "Jim" Jansen (Kim) of Tecumseh, NE; her grandchildren, Branigan (Johnny Boogerd), Carson Steichen, Matthew and Madison Jansen; her siblings, Sharlene Duis of Ocheyedan, IA, Bea Platt (Don) of Sibley, IA, Bob Roede (Joyce) of Sibley, IA, Rose Roede of Spring, TX and Marlene Roede (Barry Johnson) of Mankato, MN; and her brother-in-law Marlo Jansen of Harris, IA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
All monetary donations will be donated to the ALS Association Iowa Chapter in Karen's name.
