It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Van Beest of Sibley, Iowa, who passed away on October 30, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kobus Beest and Siena Van Beest (Huls); and his siblings, William, Henry, Grace, Koby, Elmer, Anna Jean and Joyce.
He is survived by: his wife Dianne Hohlfeld; his sons, Michael John and Bradley James "Scoot" (Kelli); his grandson John William (Kassie); his great grandchildren, Deacon and Mila; his grandson Brett (Jaclyn); his great grandchildren, Jett and Quinn; his granddaughter Katelyn; his great grandchild Charli; his grandson Bradley; his great grandchildren, Jacob and Alexandra (Anthony); and also Martha. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jurrens Funeral Home (505 9th St, Sibley, IA 51249). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (704 Poplar Dr, Sibley, IA 51249).
