She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard S. Johnson and Tracy Johnson (Pomerenke); her former husband Fred Hensch; her daughters, Phyllis Stachour and Joanne Pickering; her granddaughter Michaela Hensch; her great great grandchildren, Keegan and Jayden Mohr; her brothers, Elmer and Richard L. Johnson; and her son-in-law Gary Pickering.
She is survived by: her husband Jim of Bettendorf, IA; her children, Nancy, Cathy, Jeff, Chad, Stacy, Kim and Doug (Carole Hensch) of Sibley, IA; her grandchildren, Brad, Molly, Joseph and Mark; her daughter Lesa (Dan Kruger) of Sibley, IA; her grandchildren, Sara, Rita, Kari and Kyle; her son Dan (Sandra Hensch) of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandchildren, Eric and Alek; her son Paul Hensch; and her grandchild Skyler of Sioux Falls, SD.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given to Trinity Lutheran Church for a designated project in memory of Helen.
