Glenn Doorenbos Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 9, 2024, at the age of 95, Glenn Doorenbos of Sibley, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Doorenbos and Elsie Doorenbos (Schafer); his wife Jeane Boerhave; his children, Gary Jay and Marilyn June; his siblings, Bev Kruger, Lois Kuiper, Harlan, Lester and Doug Doorenbos; and his sisters-in-law, Maggie Doorenbos and Waneta Doorenbos.
He is survived by: his sons, Merlin Doorenbos (Karen) and Paul Doorenbos; and his brother Don Doorenbos. He is also survived by many nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jurrens Funeral Homes - Sibley (505 9th St, Sibley, IA 51249). A burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 8:45 AM and at 9:00 AM at the Sheridan Township Cemetery (3075 Jefferson Ave, Boyden, IA 51234). A memorial service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the First Reformed Church - Sibley (1010 6th St, Sibley, IA 51249). The military honors was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at the William Monster American Legion Post No. 272 of Boyden, Iowa.
