It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert Blochowitz of Sibley, Iowa, born in Raymond, Nebraska, who passed away on February 11, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Blochowitz and Henny Blochowitz (Luers); his wife Margie Kruger; his grandson Jason Bryngelson; his great grandchild Kaliegh Jones; his son-in-law Dick Grave; his parents-in-law, George and Dorothy Kruger; his brother Roland Blochowitz; and his brothers-in-law, George Kruger, Butch Kruger, Merle Buntjer and John Eilders.
He is survived by: his children, Gilbert Jr. Blochowitz (Janell) of Black Creek, WI, Janice Grave (Bryngelson) of Sibley, IA, Vicki Oldenkamp (Doug) of Sheldon, IA and Mike Blochowitz (Dawn) of Sibley, IA; his siblings, Adith Buntjer of Black Creek, WI and Darlene Eilders; and his sister-in-law Donna Blochowitz of Fisco, TX. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren.
