He was predeceased by: his parents, Alonzo Dagel and Irene Dagel (Pulscher); his sister Pearl; his wife Betty; and his grandson Jesse Dagel.
He is survived by: his sons, Gerald (Elizabeth) of St. Paul, Stephen (Kate) of Sibley, Robert of Sibley and Tim (Tricia) of Sheldon; and his grandchildren, Monica Murray (Cory), Stephanie Wolf (Sean), Mackenzie, Jed, Leonard (Danyel), Jessica, Jacob, Kaitlin Pettus (Chris), Bradi and Noah. He is also survived by 12 Great-Grandchildren, and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the United Church of Christ (703 5th Ave, Sibley, IA 51249). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
