She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Attig and Margaret Attig (Brunson); her husband George Helmers; her siblings, Bette Ellerbroek (Jim) and George (Sharon); her daughters, Margaret Nell and Jean Ann; and her great grandchildren, Maisie Burkhardt and Nolan Anders.
She is survived by: her son Dr. Scott Helmers (Shirley) of Spirit Lake, IA; her grandchildren, Matthew Helmers (Molly), Elizabeth Burkhardt (Bryan), Megan Helmers (Charlie Reese), Trevor Helmers (Kirstin) and Jodi Bennett; her daughter Cindy Kemp (Brian) of Sibley; her grandchildren, Courtney Anders (Robyn) and Andrea Kemp; her son Dr. Richard Helmers (Samantha) of Eau Claire, WI; and also Scott. She is also survived by her daughter and granddaughters.
Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and family will not be present.
