It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernita Frances Klaassen of Sibley, Iowa, who passed away on June 18, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Buss and Martha Buss (Kruse); her husband Burdell Klaassen; her brothers, John and Klaas Buss; and her daughter-in-law Kelli Jo Klaassen.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Klaassen of Little Rock, IA and Kelli Klaassen (Kyle Rosse) of Dell Rapids, SD; her grandchildren, Tyler Klaassen (Sommer), Chelsie Wiertzema (Adam), Michael Hodapp (Chelsea), Krista Hoyme (Andrew), Matthew Hodapp (Jami Van Muyden) and Kory Klaassen; her sisters, Lucille Gruis of Rushmore, MN and Kayleen Nolte of Heron Lake, MN; and her sister-in-law Margaret Buss of Auburn, Washington. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family.
