It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Luella Rose Hammerand of Sherrill, Iowa, born in Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on December 13, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Schmitt and Mary Schmitt. She is survived by: her husband Virgil Hammerand of Sherrill; her children, Jolene Beebe (Terry) of Platteville, Jeff Hammerand (Tammy) of Bankston, Jerry Hammerand (Lois) of Sherrill, Jim Hammerand (Lynn) of Epworth and Jeannie Domeyer (Dewey) of Delhi; and her brothers, Verlyn "Fat" Schmitt of Bellevue and Eldon Schmitt (Joan) of Peosta. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
