He was predeceased by: his parents, Alois Tekippe and Grace Smith Tekippe; his son Jim; his siblings, Benedict Tekippe (Luella), Francis "Fritz" Tekippe (Betty) and Ellen Soukup (Leonard); and his brothers-in-law, Ray Nienhaus, Bob Bartels and Emil Barth.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Ann Bartels; his children, Dan Tekippe (Mary) of Manchester, IA, Ray Tekippe (Diane) of Earlville, IA, Bill Tekippe (Cheryl Schick) of Sherrill, IA, Deb Brehm (Allan) of Durango, IA, Diane Tekippe of Farley, IA and Tamie Johnson (Chad) of Johnsburg, IL; his sister Roseann Nienhaus of Fort Atkinson, IA; and his parents-in-law, Maureen Barth of Rickardsville, IA, Roger, Cathy Bartels of Durango, IA and Cindy Bartels of Dubuque, IA. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
The family would appreciate everyone to wear a mask.
