He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Koehler and Rose Koehler (Loeffelholz); his sister Viola; and his brother-in-law Clarence. He is survived by: his wife Thelma Dausener of Sherrill; his children, Kim Spoerre (Jeff) of Sherrill, Debra Romans (Roy) of North Liberty and Steve Koehler (Mary Lou) of Dubuque; and his siblings, Jane Jentz and Bill Koehler. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
