He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Gorby and Ruth Gorby (Lavoy); his sister Beverley; and his grandson Colton Gorby. He is survived by: his sons, Brent Gorby (Lisa) and Ross Gorby (Dionne); and his siblings, Glenn, Ted, Molly and Shirley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
