He was predeceased by: his siblings, Phyllis Jordan and Harry Pontious. He is survived by: his wife Delores Jean Monk; his children, Cheryl Arend (Dan) of Altamont, Pam Ditmars (Bill) of Shenandoah, Paula Brownlee (David) of Farragut, Randy Pontious (Deb) of Ankeny and Rusty Pontious of Ft. Worth, Texas.; his great grandchildren, Ava, Nathan Meyer, Matthew, Amelia Aust, Addie, Jackson, Ryder, Sutton Birkenholz, Austin Foran, Jacob, Ryan, Aiden Ditmars, Hunter, Max Tompkins, Aubrey, Cooper Weinrich, Cayden Pontious and Kolby Pontious-Moore; his sisters, Arloa Bryant of Arkansas and Linda Pontious of Arkansas; and his siblings-in-law, Opal Gibson (Dick), Gerald Monk of Omaha and Lee Monk (Vicki) of Salmon, Idaho.. He is also survived by his wife, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
