It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karen L. Gourley of Shenandoah, Iowa, who passed away on November 17, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Karen L. Gourley to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ida May Barker (Lippold) and Sylvester Barker; her sister Joyce Jenkins; her parents-in-law, Walter and Betty Gourley; and her brother-in-law Laurent "Lee" Gourley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Ronda Nebel (John) of Glenwood, IA and Marci Geary (Kevin) of Cedar Rapids, IA; her grandchildren, Lisa Zimmerman (Wes), Nate Nebel, Raegan Geary and Laiken Geary; her siblings, Erma Jean Bishop (Alan) of Macomb, IL and Paul Barker (Judy) of Villisca, IA; and her siblings-in-law, Fred Gourley (Kris) and Elzene Gourley of Shenandoah, IA. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Nishna Valley Funeral and Cremation Service (405 W Thomas Ave, Shenandoah, IA 51601). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests no flowers and instead memorial donations in Karen's be directed to Linwood Estates Assisted Living in Glenwood, Iowa, where she was last residing.
