We are sad to announce that on December 22, 2019, at the age of 91, Julia D. Sligar (Shenandoah, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur W. Nims and Esther B. Nims (Liston); her husband Jim Sligar; her siblings, Alfred and Glenarva; and her siblings-in-law, Carl S. Sligar, Nina Sligar and Carl M. Humbert.
She is survived by: her daughters, Denise Marie and Denise Tackett (David) of Shenandoah; her grandsons, Nate Tackett (Tekyn) of Grimes, IA, Kyle Tackett (Katie) of Dillon, MT and Seth Tackett (Kristina) of Peever, SD; her great grandchildren, Sawyer, Garrett, Baker, Eli and Mesa; her siblings-in-law, Ilene Humbert of Shenandoah, Dave and Sandy Sligar of Hemmingford, NE; her nephew Richard Humbert of Shenandoah; and her nieces, Kay Bebout of Sidney and Tammie Carpenter (Randy) of Shenandoah.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be directed to the First United Methodist Church of Shenandoah.
