He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Basil Howland and Mabel Johnson; his sons, Brad Howland and Rodney Howland; and his siblings, Jim Howland and Jeanne Rolf.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Porter Howland; his daughter Brenda Howland Stockberger (Dennis); his daughter-in-law Cathy Averill Howland (Brad) of Cedar Falls, IA; his grandchildren, Jennifer Stockberger (Ogden), Travis Stockberger (Syracuse), Jacob Stockberger (Ogden) and Hannah Howland; and his great grandchildren, Cameron, Abbie, Gracie and Lincoln Stockberger.
